My story of this painting is about girls growing up safe, optimistic and happy. Doesn't matter what dark sky life brings, they must know that the sun is always behind it. Feeling emotionally safe is as important as being physically safe. Therefore, girls should grow to become women who are strong, confident, determined and independent. Independence is a powerful gift that a woman can give to herself.
The lion symbolises strength, bravery, dignity and royalty from ancient times. In many cultures, including ancient Greece, it has the role of the guardian. Also, in ancient China, it was believed that lions protect from evil spirits. There is a connection between fertility goddesses and lions too.
Wheat is a symbol of abundance, life, and fertility. Also, it's associated with rebirth and resurrection.
